About Us

BSD Training Ltd is one of Northern Ireland's premier training providers. We have been training machine and plant operators for the past 15 years. In 2004 we moved operations to our current site, which is a purpose built centre for all types of industry training. Our facilities include the only covered digging area in Northern Ireland where training can take place during extreme conditions.

The company is accredited by 14 awarding bodies, some of which are recognised internationally. This guarantees the quality of our large range of courses.

We currently train on all types of forklift and plant and machinery. Belfast Skills Development is a category 2 training organisation, which means that our instructors can train off-site and we can still issue certificates of training, with approval coming from the joint industrial council which is set up by government to monitor the standards for the forklift training.

We also train forklift instructors. We create Health & Safety policies for various companies and train supervisors on how to carry out and implement risk assessments.

We hold health and safety training courses and are approved to carry out a 1 day Health and Safety course for the CSR so that clients are included unto the construction skills register.

Due to requests from our clients, we have implemented three new accrediting bodies; IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) and Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
