There are a number of elements candidates are assessed on during the Motorised Scraper assessment including;

1. Complete all manufacturers' pre-start and running checks and prepare the loading shovel for travel
2. Travel to the work area and:
3.  - Travel up and down the slope
4.  - Pass through a restriction
5.  - Travel over rough terrain
6. Reverse into a restricted area
7. Prepare and set the Scraper for relevant work
8. Excavate a given ares
9. Deposit the loads to formation level. Discharged to a uniform length
10. Park the Scraper and carry out shut-down and securing procedures
