The new Work at Height Regulations require that the installation or erection of Mobile Access Towers should only be carried out by, or under the supervision of, a competent person. Such a person is someone considered to have training, technical knowledge or experience as may be appropriate having regard to the nature of the activity. PASMA qualifications are proof of competence
The training photocard provides proof that you have undergone and successfully completed training to a nationally recognised standard. Many workplaces will insist on seeing your PASMA photocard before you will be allowed to assemble, move or dismantle mobile scaffold towers.
At BSD Training we now provide a PASMA course other than the 3T method (Through the Trap). This new system is known as the Advanced Guardrail System (AGR).
The AGR method involves the use of advanced guardrail units installed on a new platform from the level below so that when the erector climbs up on to the platform, guardrail is already in position.
