The duration of the course depends on delegates own experience.

The test is comprised of two parts, theory and practical.

1. Pre shift checks/control functions

2. Operator Manual – operator requirements

3. Set machine for travel/manoeuvring

4. Excavating trenches

5. Stockpiling

6. Loading material on to vehicle

7. Precaution before excavating below ground

8. Reading duties chart

9. Travelling on slopes

10. Parking and post – use checks.
