Excavator/Digger Training

   

BSD Training Ltd have both indoor and outdoor digging facilities to ensure training can take place in all weather conditions. Our training centre meets the requirements to enable digger testing to be carried out to ITSSAR, NVQ and CPCS standards allowing candidates the option of various different testing standards to be assessed under.

 Aim:                   

• Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and accepted good practice.
• Carry out pre-shift inspection.
• Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions.
• Be able to carry out minor adjustments and routine services.
• Have an understanding of responsibilities under Health and Safety at Work Order 1978 & other current relevant legislation.

 Who do we recommend attends this course?      

 All personnel required to operate a 360 Degree Excavator of a any size.

Course Summary      

Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations / exercise, all of which are highlighted by the use of Powerpoint & Videos covering:   

An introduction to the Construction Industry.Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 

Health and Safety at Work Act Order 1978

Other current relevant regulations.

Introduction to the machine.

Pre – shift inspections.

Excavating deep and shallow excavation.

Other associated construction activities.

Explanation of attachments.
