This course is a 1 day course for experienced delegates, typically starting 8.30 - 17.00

COURSE CONTENT
1) Carry out a visual check of the machine before operation.
2) Examine site for suitable ground conditions.
3) Check for overhead hazards particularly electric cables
4) Check operation of all systems (no load)
5) Deploy lifting gear fully to rear of vehicle
6) Back up and align vehicle with skip, container/body by using the steering wheel.
If this is not possible, hook up and draw skip ,container/body into alignment
7) Secure lifting mechanism to skip, container/body
8) Set engine to operating speed
9) Engage stabiliser systems as appropriate
10) Operate controls to load the skip/container smoothly, without unnecessary impact to vehicle platform
11) Ensure correct location of skip/ container on the vehicle and that body locks are
engaged
12) Sheet or net the load as appropriate.
13) Deposit skips, containers and bodies manoeuvred into correct position.
14) Make correct use of controls during tipping operation.
15) Check for pedestrians/traffic approaching work area.
16) Restore all systems to travel position, stow sheets and nets, park up vehicle
and leave safe and secure
